Administrative Setup

The Collectorate play a pivotal role in the District administration. Collector in the Cadre of I.A.S or NCS heads the District. He acts as the District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner for maintaining Law and Order in his jurisdiction. He deals mainly with planning and development, law and order, scheduled areas/agency areas, general elections, arms licensing etc.

The Additional Deputy Collector who belongs to the I.A.S or NCS Cadre runs the Revenue administration under various enactments in the District. He is also designated as Additional District Magistrate/Additional Deputy Commissioner. He mainly deals with civil supplies, land matters, Disaster Management and he is the head of Town Council under his Jurisdiction etc.

Sub-Divisional Officer Development and Sadar looks after development and Sadar related work.

Extra Assistant Commissioner Hq, Development and Sadar also part of Collectorate.
